![]() If you're not careful with fire, you can burn an entire forest or even your own dungeon. You can cut off heads and limbs and blind or poison your enemies. There are dozens of special items, spells, attributes and special attacks. Creatures use equipment and consumable items. ![]() The world is simulated on a very detailed level. You will research new technologies like alchemy, beast mutation and sorcery. Your minions will train and produce weapons and armor. You will dig deep into the mountain and build dozens of rooms, corridors and traps. You can also play as an adventurer and assault dungeons made by you or other players. When you control your minions the game becomes a classic roguelike, with turn-based and very tactical combat. Build your dungeon, lay traps and prepare for an assault of angry heroes. Explore the world, murder innocent villagers and burn their homes. Take the role of an evil wizard and seek the ultimate knowledge of destruction. Also I like to have the z level enter at the front of the traps, so anything coming up is going through them the same as any other attacker.KeeperRL is an ambitious dungeon builder with roguelike elements. I also really try to space the entrance away from the walls to discourage digging.Īll in all if I can get to that stage and have a few iron armored mobs nothing is getting in. Most of my traps have an eyeball to see how they've done. I tend to stack them 2-3 guard positions deep so at least one archer is in the firing line on guard duty, but that depends on numbers. The archers spot is near their training and a long hallway, with some quarters set aside for them, their guard spot is unique for archers. Finally I have guard spots inside the main door, usually my most trash mobs to delay the enemy. Then I have another poison and another fire trap, then 2 more boulder traps, followed by 5 - 7 lines of archers. I have the giantkin mod which can really wreck an early fort if a couple of tribes get triggered at the same time, so I have to use boulders if available. ![]() Then two boulder traps to kill anything big with 3 web traps in the boulder line near the door to hold mobs in place. Second I do a 3x3 poison trap, then a 3x3 fire trap with wood floor. I don't know yet how many barricades archers can shoot over.įirst I have a short hallway to get me away from the walls.
